Beachcomber

Client: Australian Fine China

The inspiration for Beachcomber came from Pipi shells that are found on many of Australia's beaches. The wider rim on one side of the plates and bowls provide a handle for the waiter and the local deep area internally a place for the chef to place the main element of the dish. Beachcomber is an example of the freedom provided by dust pressing to make shapes other than round.
