Dansk was founded in 1954 by Martha and Ted Nierenberg, a mid-century couple. Working with Danish artist/designer Jens Quistgaard they brought Scandinavian style to a stylish new American middle class. Quistgaard’s interest in combining modernism and history and his quest for quality and functionality established the ethos that remains at the heart of Dansk today.
Precision is all about mixing shapes and materials in a range that combines items for both serving and eating food. The interplay of shapes is complimented by a subtle linear embossment in the porcelain.
